A Dent in it…

Well the reluctant gardener along with her very helpful sidekick managed to get the front of the house for the most part ready for mulch.  There was bush trimming and weed pulling that made my arm wretchedly sore.  I give the bushes the first trim and then DH came back around and fixed them up.  The vibration made me shaky the rest of the day.

The front nearly done 5-17-2009 2-51-49 PM

In the back we trimmed down the rose bushes and some trees that decided to seed themselves in inopportune places.  So this week, I will hopefully manage to get my garden boxes in shape and the rest of the beds cleaned out and then on the weekend my lovely assistant will be available again and we can get the final touches on and the mulch spread.  I’ve learned over several years of owning this house that I have to pace myself as all that fresh air really just wears me out.

So I thought since my left wrist seems a little sore, I will pick up a hook again and work on a blankie for our knitting guild project.  We’re doing pets this year and thought it might be nice.  So if you see me favoriting and queuing stuff out of my norm on Ravelry that is why.

  • Tiger balm is really helpful when you’ve overdone it in the garden. (Says the voice of experience- I needed it on my quads after all that squatting to plant seeds the past week)
