A Little Stashing
Mom and I celebrated Mom’s day this month with a little stashing. I had my eye on a few lines… Paris Flea Market,
the new Collection for the Cause – Mill Book Series – this time it goes to the American Quilt Study Group, which I have to say after browsing their webpage, this group intrigues me.
And then the Classic and Vintage Rose collection by Shabby Chic…
So I’m doing Farm Fest again this year through the Quilter’s General Store and this Box of Stars is the class I signed up for this time. They had bundled 14 fat quarters in grays, but I would like to use this Rose’s collection by Shabby Chic. I’ve been trying to decide what is medium and light. For sure we have the dark, but the camera does a better job noticing light and medium tones, so I did it in black and white and I can see ones I thought were light are really medium and vice versu. I’m going to check at the quilt shop and see what the experts thing.
Here’s where my split personality come outs and the romantic florals go away and the brights come out to play. If that all wasn’t enough stash…the latest Australian fabrics came out. Mom is a big fan and I enjoy them too… so we got the third bundle. This makes 68 Australian Fat’s in my collection. I’m thinking of doing The Beast (Farmer’s Market) or something similar to really show these off. They are really awesome. Ok… must quit now and go play in my quilting room.
