And we’re off…

I signed up at my LQS to do the Farmer’s Wife with rotary cutting instructions.  I’m planning on doing them all and let’s just say they are challenging – happily challenging in a way that is growing my skills for sure.  They have been going well, but I’m such a perfectionist that I’ve made a few more than once.  I’m trying to break that habit.  As one of the lady’s on the shop hop told us, if you can’t see from a galloping horse, it didn’t happen.

The start of the Farmer's Wife quilt
As I make them, I’ll be photographing them individually and putting them in my Farmer’s Wife flickr folder.  Here’s my first five blocks.

  • They are lovely! Can’t wait to see the next batch.
My cure for the perfectionism was Riley, I only work on projects in fits and spurts these days so I’ve learned to relax my expectations or nothing would ever be finished 🙂
