E is for Easter
I know so creative…like duh. Well, sorry but I haven’t had time to knit the elephant yet and we all know E is really for elephant.
Yes, I did have my alias put on – now you all will be able to find me when I’m out there at the festivals. Don’t be shy. It was extremely reasonable off of eBay and super fast shipping. I’ve been eying it for a while and well, couldn’t resist anymore.
With all this Easter talk I also picked up a few egg cups for soft boiled eggs. I don’t have any and I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve had a soft-boiled egg. I refused to buy these cute little cups until they went on deep sale. They originally wanted $24.99 for a set of 4 – crazy talk that is… $7.99 for a set of 4 now I’m listening. Mr. Purl made me buy a set for a dozen. Really it’s just the two of us, but after he pointed out it was buy 1 get 2 free, it strangely started making sense. I want to knit little egg cozy sweaters to go with them.
Call me crazy, but when Mr. Purl and I have our B&B one day and you pop buy during this holiday season – you may find them as place cards or decorations about the dining area. Let’s hope they fit a decent size egg. Goodness knows it was hard to tell from this picture and no description as to what size egg it will fit.
Finally, I did some traditional egg dyeing. I wouldn’t use this kit again, of course I had it 5 years and several moves, but still – I’m a sucker for the traditional in the cup business. This fancy smancy stuff didn’t do it for me.
Last but not least I capped off a delicious meal of ham, sweet potatoes and a veggie with a few peeps.
So there’s been nothing but spinning and now skein drying around here today. I’ll let you all be the judge if it will make a good hat or not. It maybe onto sample three for all I know.
