Happy Happy

Happy Holidays. We just managed to suck down some delicious ham. DH cooked in the Le Cruset and wow… it was falling off the bone and super juicy. And while I don’t have a picture of it yet, I have finished quilting a flannel quilt.

What was I thinking? That thing was impossible to move around. It was extra heavy and didn’t flow as well. It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with it (after giving myself ok – I’m just a beginner pep-talk) and hopefully DH will like it, since I’ve made it for him. I managed to hit a pin and break two needles with this project – that is a first.

After the free motion quilt class I switched gears and made these for some friends for the holiday. Aren’t they cute?

Cute little quilted bags.

I also have a pair of socks finished and second of another started. Socks seem all I can manage in knitting right now.

Well I hope you all have a good holiday season and I hope to get back to regular posting.

I’m a professional quilter and maker of pretty things.

  • Can’t wait to soo the flannel quilt. I have three in the family room for chilly days. I need to make more as the ones I have are getting sad. I wish flannel was more sturdy.

  • I can assure you, the bags were quite lovely. They will be a staple of all travel. I am sure that DH will no doubt love the quilt as well. If not, I am sure the furry children will appreciate it just as much. Nice to see that you were able to find your computer. Cyberspace is just not the same without you.

Love the little bags! We had smoked turkey here. Lots of left overs for the next couple of days. : )
