How To…Whittle Away The Afternoon
Today was gorgeous and the heat really didn’t get unbearable until about 3pm when I had to cry uncle and head in doors. Not only were my allergies giving me fits – even though I had the allergy tab – but it was also getting just a smidge warm to be working with wool. However, I was lucky enough to ply two of my three bobbins before being forced in doors. My enclosed porch was just the right at about 1pm when this was taken – although the cushion made the chair a bit high for my teensy legs to reach the pedals. However, I managed – amazing how I can do that with ease, when it’s something I want to do.
If I could pick a way to whittle away the time it – this would be on my top 10… no top 5 list of the best ways to spend the afternoon. I wish I could have about a month of these afternoons and then I could finish spinning and hey maybe knit this sweater up. It would be really nice to get more than one handspun sweater done per year.
As I was plying today and had to keep stopping to change hooks, which got annoying for some reason to me today (maybe it was the heat), I thought maybe it is time to investigate that Wooly Winder just a bit more.
