I’m As Restless As A Willow in a Windstorm…
I love the 40’s station on XM stereo. I listen as often as I can and today they played “It Might As Well Be Spring” (sung by Dick Haymes, who I agree should be the only one singing that song) and I can’t get it out of my head. It’s from the 1945 version of the movie State Fair and this song was written by Rogers and Hammerstein. I think maybe because my big trip to head east, see friends, and do things fibery is coming up. But “I’m as restless as a willow in a windstorm…” I wish I could say one of the other lines “I’m as busy as a spider spinning day dreams,” but alas only knitting today.
Ok – so here are the two toe boxes of the Socks That Rock – using a 40 inch Addi Turbo, which after using my Knitpicks seems very un-pointy. I did actually get the size 0 needle replacements from Knitpicks today. Still love their customer service. Anyay, I do love these colors knitted up – in the skein I was like hmmm… I don’t know. I mean I really don’t know if I would’ve picked this one above all other of this style, but in the ball, knitted YES…. it does rock after all.
Anyway, I’m putting them down now until the plane trip when I NEED something to really focus on. They fit my toes – I’m doing the medium size. I figured when Pat was doing the medium size I was all clear for that one. Sounds good? Good.
Also, let me just say a big thanks to Sue who set me straight on what a bladder -fucus is… you know I had no idea. Anyway it’s a type of seaweed. Good to know in case it comes up on Jeopardy.
