It’s Sweater Time

Yesterday, Ms. Martini Knitter and I made plans since she was coming into town. After a quick lunch we, along with her mother and grandmother all trekked out to Needles ‘n Pins. What a riot. If you haven’t had the good fortune to visit Needles ‘n Pins and you’ll go by in the future it is well worth the detour. They always have quite the selection and when we walked in I made a beeline to Noro. I grabbed this colorway and it wouldn’t let go.

I just knew that it needed to be made into the butterfly sweater. She had the booklet and all the yarn I could handle – so it went right home with me.

To much cheering. Really it was like I walked into a time warp. You know how some days everything looks delicious. Well yesterday everything was just delicious. To top it all off we headed out for ice cream after. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. And of course after my obligatory gauge swatch – I casted right on…

and had a hard time putting it down to go to sleep last night.

I’m a professional quilter and maker of pretty things.

  • I have the pattern and yarn (in a different colourway – I think!), waiting for the same project… it’s been under the bed for around 2 years – maybe it’s time to start it!!

  • Ok now I am jealous. Not only do you get to buy beautiful yarn you also get to spend time with Ms. Martini Knitter. I can’t even visit with her through her blog as she has been traveling so much. Pout! Love the yarn and the sweater is going to be great.

Oh, how I love Noro. The colorway you chose is bright and gorgeous, I can see why it had to come home with you!
