Let It Snow

So I woke up this morning to see snow and it continued right on through the whole day… and you know what the best part is… I didn’t have to drive in it. Whohoo…

While I was watching a dose of BBC America – a little Cash in the Attic. I finally finished up the hat. I went with some embroidery and love how it turned out. Yeah! Also, finally got a good picture of the red.

Yesterday I went over my friend Jackie’s house for some spinning and when I headed home thought it would be a good day to stop to see Margie – the grass kickin’ chicken specialist and pick up some fresh eggs. Her layers just started so the eggs are rather small right now, but she says they will be right big after New Years again. The size didn’t seem to matter as I had a lovely breakfast sandwich and they were so tasty. I’ve always wanted to try her chickens and so I picked up a little 3.25 pound-er for some soup. Let’s just say the fresh chicken made some super tasty soup, and it couldn’t have been on a better day as this was the view from my sitting room. I gave up fixing the platform right now as the raccoon and opossum seem to take turns knocking it over. I can hear the ding right now as they are attempting to climb my feeder pole. If it wasn’t coming down so hard, I would’ve put out new peanuts as the squirrels were busy giving me the disgruntled, unhappy customer look today. It’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Hope they remembered where they buried the first 50 pound bag I bought for them.

  • I love the embroidery! That’s so adorable!

I must admit, between here and Denver the past two weeks we’ve been through 5 snow storms all 8 or more inches and we’re expecting snow on Monday when Daniel is to return home. I think I’ve about had it with the snow. 😉
