So it’s been a heck of a week. Yesterday I had my monthly not quite migraine, but don’t let me smell anything funky because I may yak. I call it a not quite migraine because I didn’t have to go right to bed in a dark cozy room. Today I’m feeling much better, after much sleep. I’m lucky when I get those it’s tied to hormones and only lasts a day or so.
Anyway not to let time slip by me. I decided I needed to get out my wheel. That’s relaxing and plus I needed a sample for my NaSpiMoMo rib warmer. Before I committed to spinning a pound or so, I wanted to make sure it would work. This is my sample and I would say it’s a no for the rib warmer.
For one thing this is top and the air has been compressed out, so even spinning in a more woolen manner it still lends itself to be on the not so fluffy side. To get it any fluffier it will then pill for sure with wear.
Finally, when I look at it I see a the Meadow Flower Shawl by Donna K. I’m thinking not quite lace, but maybe sport weight… in that quick, hand me a shawl and I will whip it on over a turtle neck and be divine way. So I know right where I’m going for my rib warmer – back to my cormo’s. The rib warmer just cries for something soft and wonderful. I’ll have to sort through my stash and see what strikes me. Another on the plus side – I’ll get to do some playing with the dyes again… although I feeling some reds coming on.
So when I’m sorting through my stash, I think I need to break down and start photographing it. I find myself using Ravelry more and more lately and it would be nice to have it all in one place to see.
