So I really didn’t plan a blog break, I figured I would be able to post from the road, but it was such a super fast trip that there was just no time. Mr. Purl and I headed out on Wednesday morning for a quick, before the holiday craziness, trip to visit the new niece that arrived in our family. You all remember the baby hats I’m supposed to be knitting. (lol) Anyway… Mr. Purl went first on holding the baby and the first thing that happened – Mr. Purl’s sister whipped a Boppy on him. This I found totally hilarious. Especially when after awhile he said this Boppy thing was comfy and perpetual lap kitty, Tobey, may like one. Don’t you know I know what to get him for Father’s Day from his kitties. 🙂
I was able to get quite a bit of knitting done, since I think he doesn’t like to drive with the ultimate slow poke and did all the driving there and back. I finished up the Monet Socks – here they are on and on the blockers.
I also was able to get a huge leap on the STR plain vanilla socks – here’s the first one…
So, back to the grind today – I was outside doing a bit of weed pulling – but it seems like it’s going to have to wait since it’s very rainy now. We’ll see if anymore gets done this weekend. May be able to finish my sock and get another bobbin done for his sweater. Oh yeah and the indoor housework. Yuck!!! Although I’ve been catching up on the “How Clean is Your House” BBC episodes and nothing is finer for giving me the incentive to clean.
