Silly Sock Swap

A few close friends are hosting a silly sock swap due on April 1. I picked out some gorgeous emerald Mountain Colors in a semi-solid shade, which is just perfect for a mini-cabled sock.

Unfortunately I don’t think there is enough stretch in this pattern and I am going to have another look through my patterns. Although, I do love this pattern.

I’m a professional quilter and maker of pretty things.

  • Their Fascine braid was on my short list as were those Foxfire patterns we bought at Rhinebeck but obviously those ones didn’t make it to the top of the list. Too bad there’s not enough stretch, it’s a lovely sock so far!

  • I’ve just been introduced to your blog and love what I’m seeing. Your name, “Madame Purl”, I think is familiar from the HQSS online group. I’m also a quilter, new to my SS last May. I’d love to learn how to knit sox, for myself and for family members. You show a pair of sox here that I would love to try but can’t find a pattern for them. Can you recommend an easy pattern to start with….. I’ve used DPN when knitting mittens for my brood, eons ago. TIA, Georgia
