The Busiest Time of the Year

Fall is such a busy time of the year.  New classes start up and lots of fun is happening all around.

So let me catch you up…

I’m still plugging along on my Farmer’s Market.

Farmer's Market

I’m not as sure about this red, but if you remember it’s such a busy quilt, it will probably be fine.

Anyway… got them all cut out and ready to go.

Last Saturday, I headed out to the General Store for an advance paper piecing class.  I love to paper piece.  It’s so exact… yes it wastes some fabric, but the things you can do with it are so cool.

I was so inspired by the books Ruth had that I ended up picking some up from Amazon.  This is what I love about quilting… the possibilites.   Of course, ask me what I like about knitting… it’s so cathartic and there has been a bit of that too around here.

I also stopped by JoAnn’s this week and picked up some more totes for organizing.  I put an order in for some Tracey Table’s – sewing furniture and I need to get this stuff re-organized, so I’ll be able to move in there.

And if that wasn’t enough… Friday… I’m taking a little bags class.  Here are the lovely little supplies… I can’t wait.  Look at those colorful zippers!

Last, but not least….the supervisor are still doing their foremost to supervise.

Thd Helpers

Oh… just one more thing.  I’m anxiously awaiting the mail.  I won two Jo Morton bundles of fabric… yeah!  I’ll show you when it comes.

  • Love that paper pieced one. I’ve had my eye on the madala quilting book as it seems like one I’d like. I don’t want to do all paper-piecing but I definitely enjoy having it in my repertoire and will definitely use it from time to time.
