Twister Weekender Tote

The LQS shop got a really cute blue, white and tan print called Indigo Crossings.  First I used 2.5″ squares using 4 packs of 2.5″ pre-cut squares.  Then I used the itty bitty primitive pinwheels twister that creates 1.5″ unfinished twists.  Once I had the twister sewn back together, I framed it and put it into the Weekender Tote pattern by Quilts Illustrated.  It’s a nice straightforward pattern and worked well in this case.

I quilted straight lines using invisible thread on the twister pattern and then used a thread that was so matchy on the borders that the feathers blend in.  I made one set of pockets for the inside.  All in all, I’m happy with how this turned out.
