Today was a beautiful, warm summer-like day around these parts. I spent a good part of the day cruising around town doing some errands and looking for some acceptable chairs for my new spinning/knitting/crafting room.
Since we don’t seem to have enough regular guests to warrant having two full time guest rooms, we decided to store one of the beds and make the one room, I’ve seem to taken over anyway, into my crafty space. I think DH just wants to try to contain the crafty area to one room and my basement dyeing and wool storage area, of course. When I had to have an overflow to my overflow room DH started suggesting this idea.
We’ve moved the bed out and I have it somewhat organized. I’ve already bought new shelving. Now just the chairs. I ended up at a cool vintage shop in downtown Rockford that didn’t quite have what I was looking for, but did have some very nice things. I would like it to have a kick out bottom for comfort, but be somewhat straight back, so I can stick a pillow back there and maintain somewhat decent posture. I have short legs, so I need it low to the floor, but not too low. What an adventure.
I did manage to pick up my garden plants. It seems I probably should have bought last weekend as they were seriously picked over, but I managed. We got the raised beds back in order this evening, but then got chased in by mosquitoes, so I only managed to get the peppers in and put my strawberry bed back in order. When I get them done tomorrow, I’ll get a few shots.
