Back to our regularly scheduled programming. You know sometimes a gal just has to vent. It felt good, although today was definitely a case of the Mondays. I’m sure it has something to do with the full moon. Anyway – my weekend started off great with a sale at a LYS. I’m going to have to start budgeting summer money for all the summer yarn shops sales that have been going on. Anyway this one had some serious fantastic patterns and any stapled booklets at 60% off. So, most these patterns were in the $2 range. Also sock yarn 40% off, which we all know we need none of. (lol) I got one of the balls that have the aloe in them. I’ve been wanting to give one a test drive. I’m going to keep these photos small because it’s totally picture heavy. Click on them for a larger image.
I’m thinking there could be a duplicate or two, but at 60% off I’d take my chances. The best were all the new shawl and scarf patterns. These were really cool because there are several that are very new. Of course I had to get the argyle ones. Poor Monsieur Purl never gets anything. (lol) Also that Thaki one – horrible sweater on the cover. Awesome sweaters inside. Trust me.
So after that I headed home for a little nap and then of to a minor league ball game. It was a husband work thing. He said make sure to take your knitting. Oh, how sweet. We made it through the 3rd inning and left. I had an early call in the morning and really didn’t mind. I was up at the crack of 8AM and off to meet a friend for the new Harry Potter movie. We hit the very early show after a nice breakfast and it was quite delightful. I do have to say though, if these movies get any longer they need to start putting a bathroom break in the middle. My goodness that was rough, especially for my terrible plumbing.
Finally you know what happened Sunday night and then today this lovely book showed up today.
I’m just saying if you want to add one book to your knitting shelf this year and you like shawls and scarfs – make it this one. I went through each page and went – “that one, and that one, oh and that one too.” I swear I’m not just addicted to the fiber, but the books and patterns too. (lol)
