You Only Live Once, So Don’t Pass Up A Sale This Good
Yesterday, The Fold was having the sale of a lifetime. Basically everything in the store was wholesale pricing. I’ll repeat that for you – wholesale pricing, which means 25% off of hard goods like say wheels. 40% off yarn and fiber. WOW!!!! Maryellen tipped me off about the sale and off I went. Toni and Nan were so busy ringing up customers, I was helping people spin and sell wheels. For the record I sold 4 Lendrums and 1 used Louet. It was about 80-degrees in the store and we had to park on the lawn it was so crazy. This is an average size store stocked to the gills – so pack in bunches and bunches of people and the words sardine tin come to mind. A lady from work I know was there and she’s a knitter and got lost in the back for hours. I also made a new friend who isn’t too far from me and raises Shetlands.
I even tried the Lendrum Saxony, which spun beautifully by the way, but when Maryellen pointed out how twisty I was spinning on it, I’ve decided to come to the realization my legs are simply too short for such a large wheel and spinning for a long time would be difficult. I decided this Lendrum upright would be a nice addition to my wheels.
I really wish they would do a fiber club like the socks club. Wouldn’t that be cool?
Now I’m just sitting around thinking of how to ply it.
